Cruise Fairy helps people who have already booked a cruise run their countdown, plan their trip, and see what fellow cruisers are paying. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it, in plain language.

What we collect

Your account. The email address you sign up with and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Your cruise details. The sailing information you add, such as cruise line, ship, date, cabin, party size, and any price you choose to log.
Basic usage data. Simple counts of pages viewed and links tapped, so we can see what is useful. We do not build advertising profiles.

How we use it

To run your account, your countdown, your deadlines, and your packing list.
To show the current price for your sailing, drawn from what members on that exact ship, date, and cabin report. Prices are shown as anonymized ranges and medians, never tied to a person.
To improve the app based on which features people actually use.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We do not post anything on your behalf.

Affiliate links

Some links in the app, such as travel gear, shore excursions, hotels, and travel insurance, are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps keep Cruise Fairy free. When you follow one of those links, the destination site (for example Amazon) handles your activity under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

We use a single secure sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. Your packing-list checkmarks are saved in your own browser so they are there when you return. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Service providers

We run on trusted infrastructure providers for hosting and database storage. They process data only to run the service for us.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing the address below, and we will take care of it.

Children

Cruise Fairy is meant for adults planning travel and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
